~Gandalf The Grey~

(GRHA # B00000309)

2006 Black Blagdon Gypsy Horse Stallion

Gandalf The Grey

*****He's Back!*****

The little guy grows up. Gandalf is shown here at about 22 months old. He is really maturing nicely. (new pictures coming soon!)

After spending almost a year and a half with Jennifer Gilson of Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses, she has graciously offered to sell him back to me, so our boy is coming home! I couldn't be happier! Thanks Jen!

Gandalf is a wnderful, flashy black blagdon stallion, currently standing 14.1 and should finish at 14.2 hands. He has wonderful heavy conformation, flashy movement, a sweet disposition, and TONS of feather. He will stand to a few select outside mares in 2010, live cover, A.I., or shipped semen available. His 2010 stud fee will be $1000: Gypsy mares and $650: all other breeds. A non-refundable $250 booking fee is included in the stud fee. If you would like your mare considered for this awesome up and coming blagdon stallion, please contact us today!
***Only 5 gypsy mares and 5 non gypsy mares will be accepted in 2010!***

Gandalf bred his first mare and settled her on the first try. Our mare Kizzie foaled a wonderful filly in August 2009, and is back in foal to him for July 2010!

Gandalf trot

Gandalf has always been proud of himself and really knows how to "strut his stuff." Click the links below for videos of Gandalf in action!

Gandalf canter

What a handsome boy he is growing into! Photo taken at about 22 months old.

Gandalf "E"

In this picture you can see the "E" on his side. We knew that someday he would have to come back to us because he is the mascot for Edoras Stables ;)

Gandalf canter

Gandalf's other side, showing his lovely splashy markings! Gandalf is bred very well being out of our Moulden bred mare "Beibhinn Blue" and by "Jim The Blagdon Horse"(by "Bob The Blagdon", by "The Lob"). He is already something special and we are very excited to continue to watch this boy grow and mature!

Gandalf canter

Gandalf is a very well put together colt with a nice short back, nice neck, sloping shoulder, powerful haunches, nice legs, and a pretty head. He is powerful and already has a lot of presence to him!

Gandalf canter

Gandalf showing off the lovely uphill canter. He is a very showy mover.

Got Feather?

GOT FEATHER?!?!

Gandalf and I hug

Gandalf and I share a special moment. This was the moment when I new he had to come back home with us. Thank you Jennifer Gilson of Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses for allowing me to bring my boy back home to Edoras Stables!

This is Beibhinn Blue, Gandalf's beautiful dam. Click the link below for more information and pictures of Blue.

"Jim" The Blagdon Horse

This is "Jim" The Blagdon Horse, sire of Gandalf. Jim is only two years old in this picture. You can see that Gandalf has plenty of nice silky feather on both sides of the family.
